The staff were friendly and very accomodating to our every need.
Quite a distance from city centre, thus need to incur sizeable amount of expenses travelling to Nagoya. Slightly cheaper if taking Harris shuttle service.
Excellent hotel, staff really go out of their way to help you and make you feel welcome. Room was air conditioned and comfortable, food was excellent. Big pool, lots of activities going on. The ten pin bowling alley was great.
Not really good to go anywhere else outside the hotel, no beach and def not advisable to swim in the sea! Needs a chest of drawers in the room, couldn't really unpack for a week as can't hang underwear on coat hangers!
The staff service is excellent. I think they were really trained for customer service..and really friendly. Even my daughter (4 years old) noticed that and she's so happy. The food are also good but a little bit expensive.
It is far from the shopping area. It's like you're incubated in the hotel area.
The general decor and cleanliness is good. The pool is nice. The staff are friendly. The water sports centre is run by a third party next door to the hotel and this was also very good. Staff are friendly, food prices are a little cheaper than the hotel.
I was expecting to be charged in USD as per the reservation but then I was told I will be charged in Rupiah at a rate that I could not tell was good or bad. I understand now that this is local practice but then the quoted rate to me should have been in Rupiah. Other than the pool and the gym, the facilities are is need of a major overhaul. It all looks very tired and dated and does not match the rest of the hotel at all. We stayed in the new section. I was surprised that we had to pay very high rates and in Singapore dollars for everything that we wanted to do. A reflection that this hotel is really catering for the Singapore market. We even had to pay for the inflatable mats in the pool but they would not allow me to charge this to my room or give me a receipt. So, is this a scam run by the pool boys ! The amount was low so I did not bother to follow up.
Would like to see more shade around the children's pool. Very enjoyable stay. We would come back. Our main reason for trying hotel was the fact that Bintan was booked with a conference for the weekend. We have always gone to Bintan. We would definitely consider coming to Batam again. Ease of ferry use and location in Singapore was a definite plus. For Bintan we have to take a cab for Batam can take the MRT. Pros and cons for both resorts.
Only downside which was very minimal, in the evening for a short period there was a sewer like odor. We couldn't figure if it came from the beach water or where. It was near the end towards the bowling alley.
The staff is very frenly n my kids really enjoyz that is y I keep comin back n dis is my fifth time.Thank u Harris 4 d pleasant stay-:)
a)the hotel reception was very crowded when we arrived and we had to wait almost an hour to check-in.The staffs were snail-slow and took their own sweet time checking people in and were walking about. b)the taxi charges to the town area were exorbitant!Everything was charged in Singapore Dollars (bowling, squash, etc)and Indonesian Rupiah was only optional. c)rooms were filthy and the sides of the bathroom and balcony doors woods were rotten.
Very good price. Big rooms. Nice view over pool. Good breakfast. Nice personal.
It was not the luxury hotel as it says, old furniture and quite warn out, but for Indonesia it was good anyway.
It is a pro-family resort. The staff are consistent in their delivery and genuine in providing a good service.
To incldue main ingredients for items in food menu. Eg. I ordered the pumpkin and garlic soup for my wife, thinking that there's no meat but we're surprised that it includes some chicken meat (and my wife is a vegetarian).
The resort is pretty and has a very family-oriented feel. The room is spacious and the view of the pool from the balcony is nice.
The lobby is too small to cater to the large crowd of visitors arriving to check in, location is not prime; quite far from Nagoya Hill. Staff made errors regarding the room rates and the ferry tickets.
Facilities , excellent food, very friendly staff.
at the this point everything fine
They certainly have a great pool. The staff are friendly & helpful. You may want to try the food court/hawker near Metra Mall. Much nearer compared to Nagoya(more choices). Don't forget to try their Pizza below!
It is quite far to Nagoya and nothing much close to the hotel.
Location,the hotel,and the staff & service
Few choices or less varities of food in the buffet
The rooms were nice. The same standard as the other Harris Hotels. The food and service was good in the restaurant.
A beach resort with a non-swim beach. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks were too expensive. Reservation that were made and not the reservation that are received upon arrival. Laundry employees will enter your room to see if you need laundry service.
